Pre-Placement Counseling & Resource Coordination
Making the decision to parent a child or place for adoption is a heart-wrenching experience with long term consequences. Family Hope Connection staff will provide counsel to birth parents who are struggling with the enormity of the choice they are facing. Because staff recognizes that the ideal environment for a child is within its biological family, a birth parent will never be pressured or coerced into making an adoption plan. Our focus is always the best interest of the child, and regardless of the parent's choice, we will make every attempt to link them with agency services that will support and assist them during this difficult time.

Post-Adoption Counseling
Family Hope Connection will provide post-adoption counseling services to birth parents for up to one year following relinquishment. Referrals may be made to connect a birth parent with one of the therapists in the counseling department if more specialized or intensive support is needed.
